BARRINGTON, IL, MARCH 21, 2019: Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA), the industry’s leading international trade consortium of hybrid retail and custom integration members, is pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Esterly as Chief Learning Architect, a newly created position with the group. Esterly joins HTSA’s management team to head a new initiative developing custom education and team development programs for member company employees, including those in sales, management, and more.
Mr. Esterly comes to HTSA with a 20-year track record of success in training, education, program creation and workforce development with a wide variety of prominent organizations. He has emerged to become a leading specialist in relationship science, with a particular focus on the psychology of human relationships.
“HTSA continues to invest heavily in its membership by building our stable of in-house experts who work full time to design, launch, and manage major new programs. This new team development initiative will likely be as important and beneficial to HTSA members as our incredibly successful lighting fixtures and services initiative launched back in 2017,” said Jon Robbins, Executive Director of Home Technology Specialists of America. “Most groups do best-business-practice-sharing among their members, but that can only take an organization so far. When you want to elevate an entire group’s expertise to a higher plane, the only way to do that is seek the top experts and specialists in key fields and bring them on board full time. Keith Esterly, a prominent authority in relationship science is just such a specialist who will revolutionize how our members show and sell profitable high-performance, whole home automation, home theater, and lighting solutions by cracking the code on the human connection. I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Keith to the team and I know our entire membership joins me in that sentiment.”
Prior to joining HTSA, Mr. Esterly was Director of Talent Development for Walmart U.S., where he directed teams of as many as 50 regionally deployed facilitators and 4 learning & development managers. At Walmart for a total of ten years, Mr. Esterly was charged with conceiving, creating, and executing a multiplicity of programs designed for various Walmart multi-state divisions and business units, both at the management and the associate levels.
Prior to Walmart, Mr. Esterly was Training Director for Tweeter Home Entertainment Group for its Mid-Atlantic and New England regions. Tweeter was an early and progressive marketer of custom home installation solutions and Mr. Esterly was key in the development and delivery of sales, management and technology training that elevated Tweeter’s sales force to new levels of success.
“I couldn’t be more excited by this opportunity to join the HTSA team,” said Keith Esterly, Chief Learning Architect for Home Technology Specialists of America. “I truly feel as if my entire career has been a prelude to this moment – tapping into my extensive CI and HiFi roots while leveraging everything I’ve learned over the last two decades in relationship science and the psychology of human interaction between integrator and client, manager and employee, supplier and dealer purchasing agent. I look forward to working with this best-in-class organization to help them reach even higher levels of achievement.”
